Description

Control an army struggling for survival in the post-apocalyptic world. Choose one of the 4 unique factions—Moloch, Borgo, The Outpost, The Hegemony—and defeat your opponent in tactical warfare. Play solo against an AI opponent or against a human player in an asynchronous cross-platform multiplayer mode.
Prove that you have what it takes to survive:
March with the machines of Moloch, leading its army toward setting the new world order.
Become Borgo and unite the forces of the mutants who spread terror in the wastelands.
Lead The Outpost, humanity's last and only hope, and try to beat the machines in against-the-odds guerrilla warfare.
Be the boss of The Hegemony, a land of gangers uncaring about the fate of others, living only for violence and their mad entertainment.

Good game- lousy art/ sound

I've been playing this game for years- really good on every strategy level, complexity of play and so on, but the graphics stink and sound FX are just the same for every army and every action... the files sound like they were cut and pasted from a free online sound bank.
The graphics are individually good, but are way too detailed for phone scale, and they don't play well with one another or the over laid buff symbols - makes for a murky playing field. It's so busy and overlaid sometimes it's difficult to see which way the units are facing. These two gripes have been bothering me since the beginning- was hoping the devs would've spent some effort improving this aspect of the game, as they added armies and tweaked the game play over the years

Wonderful At The Core

Wonderful At The Core… 5-Stars!

However, they currently have a snails-pace update cycle that might should consider speeding up, with the least intention, or perhaps most importantly, in order to respect their fans whom purchased factions/ armies previously before the game was sold to the current company running it and have not made some of those factions armies with a promise hinging upon nebulous future re-release dates.

For those that haven’t played this award winning board game turned iPhone strategy game before, do yourself a favor and give it a try. What we’d love to see as a loyal fanbase: - Reimplementation of the factions, I & many of us have already paid for- especially the plant one! There are so many great ones I miss so badly! - No extra button press when it is our turn. - More varied animations (everything is either a nudge or explosion). - Why not ad more, variable backgrounds? Wouldn’t it be pretty easy to hire an artist to just have some different background wallpapers that switch out? - These are just off the top of my head. I’m not trying to say I’m representing an all encompassing list of ideas from my fellow players. Bonus: What about even newer factions we haven’t seen before on iOS?! (Note on this- loved getting the “Beasts” army which we hadn’t seen before!

Neuroshima Hex is back

Glad to see with recent updates that Neuroshima hex works on my iPhone. While playing against AI is not as smoothe as it used to be, it is not so slow that it negatively impacts gameplay. Only problem is that not all the armies are back, but I’m glad to hear they’re coming. It’s also good to see that Portal is adding armies that weren’t even in the old app.
